- Tasting Notes
A smoky nose consists of petrol, apple and pear notes that are trimmed in subtle wood nuances. There is fine density to the mouth coating and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that deliver outstanding length for a villages level wine. This is at once seductive yet serious and offers terrific quality for its level.

The 2015 Meursault Très Vieilles Vignes was picked at 43 hectoliters per hectare between 13-15 September apparently with no botrytis or sur-maturité. Again, my problem is a lack of personality here – it does not “sing” Meursault. The palate is lightly honeyed on the entry, moderate acidity here, though again it needs more complexity and tension on the finish. Maybe that will be expressed once in bottle? I hope so.
