- Tasting Notes
A highly complex nose featuring a bright and gorgeously layered mix of spicy red, black and violet aromas trimmed in barely discernable toast highlights very rich, textured, naturally sweet and full-bodied flavors underpinned by superb dry extract levels on the tight, solidly tannic and explosive finish. Despite the firm structural spine, the overall impression is a Bèze of elegance yet also one that is entirely serious. -Burghound,com

Dark red. Reticent nose hints at wild dark berries, minerals, coffee and mocha. Tighter and less sweet than the last couple of samples, dominated today by a stony minerality that gives precision and cut to the middle palate. But this very dense, sappy and suave wine is quite youthfully imploded today and is likely to require at least seven or eight years of cellaring. Finishes very long, with late-arriving dusty tannins. Clearly superb but tricky to taste today.

Tight and racy, this red exhibits floral, cherry, raspberry, mineral and spice aromas and flavors. There’s fine balance and harmony, with a coating of tannins and sweet fruit gracing the long finish. Best from 2013 through 2027. 175 cases made.
