- Tasting Notes
Mild reduction is sufficient to mask the underlying fruit but not the earth character. There is by contrast good freshness and verve to the nicely detailed flavors that possess reasonably good depth on the refreshing and inviting finale. I like the balance and this should drink well early on.
– Allen Meadows, Burghound, Score: 86-88
The 2014 Bourgogne Rouge offers light blackberry on the nose, which I discerned would benefit from a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied, quite malic in the mouth with a touch of green apple, or more accurately apple peelings underlying the black fruit on the finish.
– Neal Martin, Robertparker.com, Score: 82-84
