- Tasting Notes
Like the Groseilles the wood treatment is deft but not hidden though is easily allows for the clear expression of the plum, floral, spiced tea and sandalwood nuances. There is a really lovely texture to the succulent and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that display a subtle mineral streak that continues onto the generously proportioned and lingering finish. This is a wine of contrasts in that the mid-palate is notably pliant and supple yet the finish is firm, mildly austere and serious.

Red-ruby; moderately saturated in the context of this set of 2014s. The nose offers a very ripe blackberry liqueur quality but comes across as less expressive than the Volnays at this address. Quite imploded on the palate, with its firm minerality contributing to an impression of medicinal reserve. The wine’s brisk acidity and lightly herbal character suggest an element of inconsistent ripeness but the tannins are essentially supple and the finish is chewy and persistent.
