- Tasting Notes
A lactic acid and rather leesy nose gives way to rich yet solidly well-detailed mineral-driven medium-weight flavors that possess excellent verve and fine finishing persistence as well as really lovely intensity. I suspect that this will become much more focused once it is in bottle.
– Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Score: 89-92
The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Embrazees flows with powerful fruit that is somewhat disguised by the wines prominent minerality. This is a gorgeous, explosive wine endowed with tons of fruit and a generous personality that manages to retain considerable clarity and transparency. The finish is buttery and nicely textured. Anticipated maturity: 2014+.
– Antonio Gallani, Robertparker.com, Score: 91-94
Well-marked by new oak, this white has the requisite intensity, plus lemon and apple flavors to match. Long, with a tautness and plenty of mineral and oak spice on the lingering aftertaste.
– Bruce Sanderson, Winespectator.com, Score: 92
