Reduction. This also displays an abundance of inner mouth perfume composed of Asian style spices and hints of sandalwood that add to the excellent complexity of the vibrant and well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration as well as very fine length. This doesn’t possess the sheer depth of the Bèze but this is a very attractive effort all the same

The 2012 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a refined, floral bouquet with rose petals infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, crisp and poised with a tender, sophisticated finish. Classy? very classy.
– Neal Martin, Robertparker.com, Score: 93-95
A racy style, with cherry, raspberry, currant, spice and mineral flavors that are intense and long. Hangs together nicely, feeling effortless and fanning out on the long aftertaste of sweet fruit and spice.
– Bruce Sanderson, Winespectator.com, Score: 95
Full medium red. Deep, brooding, slightly reduced nose offers aromas of framboise, sandalwood incense, smoke and minerals. At once silky-sweet and savory, displaying superb depth to its flavors of red fruits, soy sauce and smoky minerality. Still very young and unevolved but already sexy and complex, this large-scaled Echézeaux finishes very long, with thoroughly buffered tannins.
