- Tasting Notes
Showing a more classic style of Château Grillet, according to estate manager Alessandro Nori, the 2014 Chateau Grillet is fresher and more linear than the intense 2015. The fruit is more pineapple and citrus than apricot and melon, and it finishes long, cool and invigorating. This medium to full-bodied wine should drink well for close to a decade.

Light green-hued yellow. Highly expressive aromas of fresh pear, nectarine, orange zest and pungent flowers are complemented by a smoky mineral accent. Expansive pit fruit, chamomile and honeysuckle flavors show impressive depth as well as vivacity and sharp delineation. Manages to be powerful as well as lithe and shows silky, seamless texture. Closes with intense mineral cut, a touch of pear nectar and lingering florality.

Intense creamed melon, pear and peach flavors form the core here, framed by alluring warm brioche and anise notes. Long and creamy through the finish, but with an inner brightness thanks to a lingering honeysuckle echo. Gorgeous. Only available for sale in restaurants. Drink now through 2024.
